The JPL Running Club and ERC are again providing entry fee subsidies for these heavily attended local races. If you are planning to run or walk in either of these events (even if you have already registered), contact Mark Ryne so you can recieve your rebate.
The JPL running club plans to field a team(s?) to participate in the 250+ Mile Mojave Deathrace on Saturday and Sunday, June 3 & 4, 2000. This is a team relay featuring a combined race for runners and cyclists across the Mojave Desert in California and Nevada. Last year our team finished the race in 21:28:41 (thats hours:minutes:seconds), placing FIRST in the corporate division and eight overall out of twentyone teams that started. This year the race has been lengthened 35 miles (more pain for the same money). We are looking for runners, road and mountain bicyclists, ham radio operators and support crew members.
