November News

The next general meeting is the 15th at Noon.  No speaker is scheduled yet..

Leonids are predicted to peak as seen from So. Cal. at approx. 2:00 AM on the morning of November 18th.

New Moon weekend is the 10 th - 11 th , and the 17 th - 18 th

October 24th, the weekend of Thanksgiving, is the next Griffith Observatory public star party hosted by the Los Angeles Astronomical Society and the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers .

About The JPL Astronomy Club

The JPL Astronomy Club is a subclub of the Employee Recreation Club of JPL. It is dedicated to the promotion of amateur astronomy for JPL employees, retirees and their families. Dues are $5.00 a year; checks are made out to the JPL Astronomy Club. All dues are sent to the club Treasurer, Robert Haw , at his mailing address 301-125L.
